Below is the abstract from the Ministry website on the launch of MyFex2.0

The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (MDTCA) has launched the MyFEX 2.0 system which acts as a franchise company registration medium. This system includes franchisor (foreign and local) registration applications, franchisees, consultants/brokers, matan amendment applications and delivery of Franchise Business Annual Report (LTPF). This new system can be accessed at the link https://myfexv2.kpdnhep.gov.my from 29 July 2022.

MDTCA as the regulator of the Franchise Act 1998 has made an amendment to the act which will come into force on 28 April 2022. This amendment involves several elements such as the effective period of registration and fee payment. Accordingly, a new system was introduced to meet the requirements of the latest amendment, in line with the enforcement of the Franchise Act 1998 (Amendment 2020).
